So I have to say, that this terrible twos thing is ROUGH!! The few moments of Beckham being such a cute little thing are what keep him alive :) Here is one of those, "I guess I can keep you alive for a little while longer" moments :)

I was really not expecting this at all! I expected B to throw things at him, or hit him like he hits dogs. But instead he was so soft and cute with his new brother. B wants to touch everything on Stockton. His little nose, his eyes, his feet his hair. B just started kissing Stockton and hugging him and laying by him. Beckham also wanted to share everything with Stockton. B gave him a phone and tried to give him his ball and share his licorice.

Baby Stockton was born at 6:41! He came so quickly! He is 7 lbs 1 oz and 18 1/2 inches long. I know I am his mother but I just think he is absolutely perfect and just as beautiful as his brother was when he was born. Delivery was a breeze compared to nine months being pregnant and kidney stones. Both Stockton and I are doing well and are as healthy as can be! His birthday is kinda fun, it's 11/10/09, so 11 10 9. We just miss B and can't wait to be all together. Thanks for all the love and support of our family and friends. We couldn't and can't do it without you! My boys are so stinking loved, it's amazing!!

BLASTED HOSPITALS

So for many of you I know you kind of knew what was going on this last weekend. Well, here is all that happened.
* Started Saturday morning. I was sitting on the couch and all of the sudden had to throw up! Like big time! I didn't even make it to the bathroom and I threw-up harder than I ever had before (I know kinda gross to share, but there is a reason for sharing that). Felt ok the rest of the day so Russ and I went out and ran a bunch of errands and went to dinner.
* Sunday Morning. Woke up with a weird pain in my front left side. Just kind of pushed it off like it was nothing. Russ and I were straightening up the house and I shut Beckhams closet doors (which are mirrors) and saw that my eyes looked a little red. Pulled down my eye lid, and NO they were not a little red, they were vampire blood red all over the bottom of my eye. Talk about freaky! Never seen anything like it in my life. Not sure what to think, and with the pain in my side we ran to St. Marks emergency room. Get there they hook me all up and we discuss the events that led to this and they decided it was from throwing up so hard (why I shared that piece of info with yall). I had apparently thrown up so hard I broke the blood vessels around my eyes and with the low blood platelets I have that was the result. It is pretty nasty!
* Sunday in the hospital. So while I am all hooked up to monitors and they think the eye thing is no big deal I start contractions. Yup, every three minutes. They check me and I am dilated to a 1 and a 1/2. Not good since I am six weeks early. The nurse does a test on me that if it comes back negative then I have a 99% chance baby is not coming for 2 weeks. Comes back negative. So we think good, but they couldn't stop the contractions. They gave me a shot that usually always works. Didn't work. They gave me fluids that should work. Didn't work. Then they try their last trick, some drug and morphine. Didn't work. My contractions kept coming on strong. Luckily it didn't do anything to dilate me even more. And finally after a few hours they just slowed and stopped on their own. Sent us home!
Monday Morning: Woke up with this horrible pain in my side. Called labor and delivery. They said wait until my Dr. appointment at 4. About a half an hour later the pain was getting so bad, I called Dr. anyway. They told us to come right down. My Dr. ran some tests and it was a kidney infection and/or stones. The pain was so bad I couldn't even walk. They wheeled me down to Labor and Deliver to get me on antibiotics and major drugs. The pain was so bad that even morphine wasn't doing the trick. They did an ultra sound on me and sure enough, there were two kidney stones. YUCK! So for the entire day I was drugged up trying to get rid of the stones and the pain. With no luck either!
Tuesday: Woke up still in pain and was told I would be there another night :( About 11:00 I took a percaset (spell?) and that was the last amount of meds I took. For some random reason, the pain just stopped. We never found the stones, but I have been fine since. They did let me go home about 6:00 that night.
What a crazy few days!

So a group of us decided to go to the Dino Museum, yup, you guessed it, on $2 Tuesday. Holy CROWDED!! It started out really good, but then it got CRAZY. Plus we don't just have 1 or 2 kids, we are a big group with 3 strollers. But it was fun, and we are always down for a good time.

TODDLER BED, WHAT?

So in light of the fact that baby #2 will soon be on his way to our house, and the fact that these two little boys will be sharing a bedroom we decided B should probably be getting used to a toddler bed before Stockton comes home. My two wonderful friends, Nikki and Sherry, wanted to get me a gift for Stockton, but really we have everything we need for him, so they got Beckham his new bed. Russ put it together last night. I moved the crib mattress over to look at it. Beckham was loving it! He crawled on, started giggling, got off, grabbed his fuzzy, got back on and layed down. Then he got off and fell over onto it. Oh, that was a fun thought, so for about 10 minutes I watched him fall on his bed over and over. And then he got more daring and started with a running start. It was really cute to watch. I was just not ready to let him sleep in it all night though. So I put the mattress back in the crib. Then today Russ calls me at lunch and says that B is taking a nap in his new bed! What the? I am just not sure I am ready for this! But tonight I decided to let my baby grow up some more (it's not enough to start nursery I guess, and really not like I get to decide, but let's pretend we moms have a little control, right?) I moved the bookshelf and put his new bed into place. We got jammies on, brushed teeth, read our ni-ni story and I laid him down in the BIG BOY BED! I turned off the light and shut the door. Now I have been extremely lucky in the fact that B does not cry to go to sleep. He loves going to bed at night, and so when I closed the door tonight to his little crying whines I couldn't leave. I just sat there at the door and listened, pretending I was laying with him and holding him to sleep. About 5 minutes later I text Russ and said I didn't know if I could do it, and right then, the crying stopped. I haven't dared to open the door to see if he is actually still in the bed. Seriously all this over a toddler bed, I am totally over-reacting, but really do they have to grow up so fast!! I have pictures of the bed I will post another day. Thanks for reading my little lifetime drama about the toddler bed!

Yesterday I was in a very nice car accident. I was going about 40 mph and a car ran a red light in front of me. I smashed right into her. Luckily we are all just fine! We did spend the night at St. Marks making sure baby Stockton in my tummy was ok. Beckham came through with flying colors too! What a trooper. Thanks to our amazing family and friends for the love and support! We are so blessed to be so loved!

Oh, My Little Man!

I lost my camera!! NOT HAPPY about that! Actually, to be technical, I didn't lose my camera I lost my Mexico bag (which unfortunately has my camera in it). So, if anyone has seen my black Mexico bag I would really like it back! Anyway, I am heading for Powell and I needed a camera to take. My oh so wonderful mother said I could take hers (and she is going on vacation too, how nice of her to give her camera to me even when she needs it, just like my mom!) Well, her camera is full of pictures so I told her I would down load them and put them on a cd for her so I could erase the pictures on the camera. Let me tell you, most of the 2 or 3 hundred pictures on the camera were mostly of Beckham. I thought I would show you some pictures of my little cutie These are all different ages which makes it kind of funny (especially the first chunky ones!)

So I go to my ultra sound, I am at 19 weeks and they tell me Stockton is a little small and they want to add 2 weeks to my pregnancy! So now I am 17 weeks. LAME!! Who wants to be pregnant longer? So now he is due November 28 (which is Thanksgiving weekend). On a positive note, if he is born a little later in November I will only miss out on 4 weeks of teaching (and still have my 6 weeks off thanks to Christmas break). Maybe things happen for a reason :)

BOY OR GIRL??

We went to Fetal Fotos on May 22 and we were unable to see if it was a boy or girl. The little stinker had its legs crossed the entire time! At one point it even moved its hands to cover itself so we couldn't see. So we had to go back the following week. This time we got an answer. So here is a picture of the little one!

So, imagine being pregnant, controlling and teaching 25 first graders for six hours, then coming home and chasing a one year old all over the place. And all the while wanting to throw-up because maybe, just maybe, you might feel better if you could actually throw-up. That would be the reason I have totally slacked on my blog. Once that little munchkin of mine goes to bed at 8, I hit the bed at about 8:15 because I am exhausted and have to do it all over again the next day. I do have some pictures of our little Moab trip, which was so fun!! Beckham is a true jeeper, just like his mommy! He loved it. He was in heaven on all the trails we went on this year. We also went to an Easter Egg Hunt and he did so good. He also went swimming at 9:00 at night in water that was not all that warm, but he loved it so much he didn't want to get out. Enjoy the pics, I sure think they are cute.

Crazy!

His birthday party was awesome!
Actually he had 2 parties (he is so loved).
Beckham came to the last half hour of my class (it was the Valentines Party), all of my cute students sang him happy birthday. They even wanted to stop their party to play ball with him. What a sweet class I have. After the students left we had a little party with some of the people at school that I do lots with. They got him great presents. Then we went to my mom's to have his big party. The place was decorated in none other than BALLS! Beckham loves to play with any ball, basketball, football, soccerball, bouncy ball, it doesn't matter. So of course we had to decorate with all of that. It all looked so cute. Here are some fun pictures of the party. Oh, and I don't have any of him digging into his cake (so fun) cause my camera batery died and my great sis-in-law took some with her nice camera, but I haven't grabbed them from her yet, so I will post those when I have them.

We had some family pictures taken the other day. Here are a few of them (sorry L and L, I copied them from your page :) They turned out cute. Funny though, because I didn't listen to my mom very well. All I remembered was ice skating and where scarfs. I had no idea we were going to Heber to skate outside. It was like 20 degrees colder up there. Me, and my boys were all in short sleeves. We froze!! It was still fun.

First Born Tag

This is a perfect tag, since it is Beckham's FIRST birthday this week.

1. WAS YOUR FIRST PREGNANCY PLANNED? Yes

2. WERE YOU MARRIED AT THE TIME? Ya, we had been married for over 5 years

3. WHAT WERE YOUR REACTIONS? Extremely happy, excited, and ready to throw up!

4. HOW OLD WERE YOU? 26

5. HOW DID YOU FIND OUT YOU WERE PREGNANT? I actually didn't think I was at first, we had been in Lake Powell and I broke my nose (thanks Wes), so I already didn't feel good. I also thought I had just had too much sun from being down there. The day after we got back I was so sick I couldn't get out of bed, and again thought it was just from the nose and vacation and sun. Finally after a few days of being sick I decided I better at least try a pregnancy test because if that wasn't it I was going to go to the doctor and find out what was wrong with me. Sure enough the pregnancy test went positive within about 2 seconds.

6. WHO DID YOU TELL FIRST? Russ, using a bib that said I LOVE MY DADDY. We were going to wait until the 4th of July to tell the rest of the family, but we can't wait for things like that. We went to the store that day and bought 4 bibs, two that said I LOVE MY GRANDMA and two that said I LOVE MY GRANDPA. Russ and I went to each of their work and gave them the little present. We also told our best friends Jenn and Brody that day as well.

7. DUE DATE? February 21, 2008

8. ACTUAL DATE BABY WAS BORN? February 13, 2008

9. DID YOU HAVE MORNING SICKNESS? Nausea everyday, all day for the first 6 MONTHS :( then about 3 or 4 times a week all day for the rest of the pregnancy. I was so sick seriously up until the day he was born. I actually started to think I was just sick and that it wasn't the pregnancy and after I had the baby I would still be sick. Thank goodness it really was just the pregnancy.

10. WHAT DID YOU CRAVE? Not much, but I started dipping everything in ranch

11. WHO/WHAT IRRITATED YOU THE MOST? I want to say one of my tough little students, but he didn't really irritate me, he just took all my energy and made me think I was not a good teacher cause I couldn't figure out how to help him. I cried a few times (during school) when I was so frustrated I didn't know what to do. Luckily, I did actually start to help the cute little guy and found that really all he needed was a little love.

12. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CHILD'S SEX? Male

13. DID YOU WISH YOU HAD THE OPPOSITE SEX OF WHAT YOU WERE GETTING? No, I really wanted a boy first, but I actually thought it was going to be a girl. I had the name picked out, how I wanted her room, and even had dreams about a girl, so I was shocked when it was a boy.

14. HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN THROUGHOUT THE PREGNANCY? Um, ya, I gained quite a few, it was something like 38 pounds. Luckily they all went away very fast!

15. DID YOU HAVE A BABY SHOWER? Yes, I had 5. Our little family is very loved!

16. WAS IT A SURPRISE OR DID YOU KNOW? I knew

17. DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY? Yes! Too many! I had kidney stones. The first one was in October, I was about 22 weeks and I thought I was losing the baby. I was at Bunco at the time, and my friends rushed me to the hospital. We couldn't get Russ to answer his phone (he was asleep, since he worked at 3 am). Lyndsay had to get her husband to run over there and bang on the door to wake him. It was incredibly scary and horribly painful. It happened again about 5 weeks later. My doctor then found out I had low potassium and low blood platelets. Basically they thought my heart was going to stop or that I would hemorage and die when I delivered the baby, which is why he was born early.

19. HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR? Since they started me, I went into the hospital at 8 pm on the 12th, I started contractions on my own just before I got to the hospital. He was born after 5 the next day. What part they consider actual labor I don't know.

21. WHO WATCHED YOU GIVE BIRTH? Russ, my mom, and his mom. At first I just wanted it to be Russ and I, but then when they wanted my mom to leave I didn't want her too. There were some interns who were going to watch so I decided if they were my mother-in-law could to.

23. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN? Definately! Bring on the drugs!

Funny Story for you all!

Monday night a bunch of us girlies get together and have a scrapbook night, this week we had some of the little ones with us. We put Addy on the floor in the living room at my mom's house. She isn't crawling yet so she just hangs out with toys. B of coarse is all over the place. He went over to Addy and tried to play ball with her. (If you haven't seen him play ball you so have to! It is so cute, he throws really well for his age, and just loves to play catch with everybody). Well, he tried this with Addy, and she wouldn't take the ball. So he crawled around the couch, into the hall, pushed open the closet door, found a toy, crawled back to Addy and tried to give it to her. She still too young to grab something out of his hand, but he kept trying to give it to her, which ended up looking like he was hitting her. Each time he got closer and closer, and soon he was hitting her in the head with the toy (luckily it was a soft toy). His face was the best, he just had this big huge smile, like look Addy I got you a toy. And at the same time Addy was crying because she was getting hit in the head. We were laughing so hard! It was just so cute, I wish we would have had a video camera. Jenn and I just looked at each other and said this was only the beginning of, "Mom, Beckham pushed me," "Mom, Addy won't give me my ball back." Too funny!!

On Friday Russ, Beckham and I went to support and cheer our UTES!! We went down to the Perfection Parade. It was so fun. There were tons and tons of people. Then on Saturday we went up before the basketball game to get a little red football signed by the players for B's room. We got there 2 hours early thinking that would be fine, um no. We should have got there a little earlier. We got a few signatures, not as many as we wanted cause it was so crowded, but the football looks good so that is all that matters. Then we watched our RUNNIN' UTES win their game against Colorado!

So I am pretty sure I am the last one to post about Christmas. I have been so busy lately. I am just going to do one big long post about the last month so I hope you all have a second to take a peak at it. It has been full of family, friends, traditions, fun, and UTES!

Christmas Eve for us is just as busy as Christmas day. We start out going bowling. We have done this for as long as I can remember. This year our family has gotten even bigger, and I am pretty sure we will soon take up the entire bowling alley. We have 1 grandma, 10 aunts and uncles, 26 cousins (including spouses and others), and finally 13 great-grand children with 2 on the way. It is quite the party. After, my family goes to East Coast Subs for lunch. Then we run our last minute shopping, Russ getting mad at me the whole time cause I didn't get if finished. Then we spend the rest of the evening at Russ' extended family party. This year it was at Wes and Tami's house where we ate soup, played a gift exchange game and rock band. It was a great day.

The Night Before Christmas:
I already want to start traditions with Beckham, so after our very busy day we still came home and made cookies for Santa and used our Christmas plate. Then we read a Christmas story and then it was off to bed. This year my parents and Brady decided to come out and do Christmas with us. It was fun to have them there to see Beckham on his first Christmas.

After our morning at home we have a busy day! It starts out by going to Russ's parents to see everyone. We have a pre-breakfast and open presents. Then we run to my Grandma's and have breakfast again and open presents with the extended family. Then off to my mom's to open presents and snack on food. Then we go to a movie every year. This year was a tough choice because there were so many options and it was hard for us to all agree. We ended up seeing Yes Man. It was pretty good, and not like Liar Liar (like I thought it would be). Then after the movie we finally head home to relax. Busy day, but I love it. I thought when I had kids I wouldn't want to do all the run around, I was wrong! It was fun to have Beckham do all the things we have always done, and to see everyone.

Then we had a new addition to our family! Shannon gave birth to her daughter on December 28. She is absolutely beautiful and I love her to death already! It took them a few days to decide a name, but I love their decision.

For New Years Eve we decided to go the the UTE Basket-Ball Game. We played Gonzaga, it was a great game, we won at the buzzer. We should have beat them by a lot more, but decided to almost give them the game at the end, but we pulled through (which is good since we have lost a few games at the buzzer this year already). After we went to Wes and Shannon's to play Rock Band and hang out (ya know, since Shannon just had a baby like 3 days ago, they didn't want to go out so we went to them). It was a fun night.

What else do I say but GO UTES!! What an awesome game. We had my family over to watch it. Russ is a huge Utah fan, but he also had a bet going with D. Williams from the Utah Jazz, and if Utes won, him and Brody would get signed jerseys. The boys got them yesterday. It was a great game!

And finally, I received my diploma last night!! Masters of Education from the University of Utah! I also have to add, I received this with a 4.0! Not even one A- and I am very proud of that. It was a lot of work, and I am so glad it is behind me!

K, my little family has a BIG obsession with University of Utah! We even decorated Beckham's baby room all in UTE stuff. (Including a HUGE painted U on the wall). It is quite fun. I am pretty sure Beckham owns ever Utah baby outfit made. I also have to tell you all about my class this year. They are hilarious! (First of all I shouldn't even allow Y fans in my room - except I just love all my kidlets in my class I guess I will let it slide). I have two little boys who are true blue all the way. When they come into class wearing Y clothes, the first thing they do is let me know all about it. One of the bulletin boards I like to do is a "Turkey Bowl." I have all the students make a little turkey and I turn my bulletin board into a football field. This year we HAD to choose our team. If you were a UTE fan the student put a U on their turkey, same for the Y fan. Oh, hilarious!! You should have heard my little first graders going crazy about it the whole time they were making their turkeys. Then, they had to watch me put them up on the board so we could count how many were for the U and how many were for the Y. We got tickets to see Twilight at the midnight showing!! We had such a fun girls night out. It was CRAZY at the theater. I thought the movie was done pretty well (of course not as good as the book, but if you really expected that then you aren't too smart). I am so not an EDWARD fan. (Love him in the book) If you asked me, I would totally be going for EMMIT!!! He was definitely cuter, and had a way better personality!

DINNER!!
K, dinner was quite the event for us. Let's just say we all like to eat. Before we even left for San Diego my dad was talking about what we should have for dinner the next night. Well the first night we all ordered one appetizer, one main coarse, one dessert except for my dad. He orders one appetizer and two main coarses. So that starts us all on this ordering large amounts of food. There were some nights we all ordered like 3 appetizers, 2 main coarses, and 3 desserts. It became kind of a joke to see what everyone was going to order everyday. My dad decided the best amount was 2 or 3 appetizers and one main corse. Every night though, after we stuffed ourselves to the point of not wanting to eat ever again, my dad would be asking us what we think would be for dinner the next night and how he was already deciding what to order.

My family is a game playing family!! We play games all the time, card games, board games, dice games, you name it. Well on the days we were on the ship all day we played games. First off, my birthday is actually on Saturday, but I will be getting on the boat for my CRUISE that day, so I thought I would post this early.

Secondly, I have to tell you about my WONDERFUL little class (and of course their parents). I got to school today to some wonderful surprises. I had some students bring me some birthday presents, including lotions, perfume (yummy kind from Vicky Secrets), and a visa gift card. Then later that day some more mothers stopped by to bring me a bag of cards from my first graders from last year and this year and a gift card to Aeropostal (one of my favorite stores). How sweet are they. That totally made my day. Can I say that I have the best job in the world, and I teach at the best school ever with an amazing community!

So this weekends triathlon was quite the experience! We had a group of 12 friends and family that went down to run the race (some of which started racing together originally, and others that we met up with when we got down there) of the 12 there were 3 that didn't get to finish the race (totally sucks!). Brady (my bro) was the first to drop out. He was in a wet suit that was too small for him, so when he got out into the water he was having a hard time using his arms which caused some hyperventilation (which happens to almost everyone anyway, but you work through it, if you can't use your arms to swim, there is no working through it). The boats had to pick him up and the boys on the boat had to pull the wet suit off of him, it was so tight he couldn't do it himself. Then Bryce (my parents neighbor) was the next to go down (which is a real bummer cause he actually rides to win the whole thing). He started to get a flat tire and kept riding, there is a really sharp turn and when he hit that turn with a flat tire there was no stopping the wreck he had. His feet were still clipped into the bike as he went skidding across the ground. He is ok, but got some great war wounds. And last but not least, I didn't get to finish my race :( I was bummed! So frustrating, but nothing I could do about it. I finished my swim in good shape, got on my bike and started gearing up to face "the hill" when POP!!! There went my tire! Instead of finishing the race I had to walk a few miles back in my cycle shoes and turn in my timing chip. Oh well, there is always next year!

It was cool though because of the 9 of us that finished the race 5 took a place in their age groups! There were 2 that took first place, 1 that took second place, and 2 that took third place!

So we thought it would be fun to take the babes (Beckham 7 months; Addy 3 months; Lincoln 3 weeks) to the fair last Saturday. It was fun, but it was also kinda funny. It was quite the experience just getting to the fair. We started off thinking it would be smarter to get the tickets at Smiths for the discounted price, plus we all needed some cash. We pull up and put 2 car seats into a shopping cart, and carried the other. It was the busiest Smiths I have ever seen. Jenn decided to wait in line while I ran over to see if we could get tickets from the customer service and Lynds ran to the car cause she forgot her wallet. Jenn got asked a few times if all three were hers, so not possible being 7 months, 3 months, and 3 weeks but I guess you never know. Then while Jenn was paying for her tickets I gave Beckham my water bottle (ya know, he thought it was a bottle) well it was hard for him to hold and it slipped out of the car seat. Don't sweat that Addy was on the floor right below and got nailed in the head! It was so sad! She started screaming, Lincoln was fussing and wanting his binkie, Beckham was mad that he didn't have his water bottle anymore. I think everyone was staring at us like we didn't know what we were doing. Quite a sight. (Addy is ok, no major damage but a bump, and extremely scared mom and aunts) We did make it to the fair and had a good night. It was hard to get around with three strollers, but we made it and had a great time. Beckham decided to tell you all how fun it was, by the end of the night he was talking up a storm. (And of course his nap was when we were looking at the animals so he missed it all)

We had Elle Photography take our pictures this weekend. We went up to the University of Utah to take the pictures because the campus there is amazing, I love it. Here is just a preview of the pictures (I stole it off their blog - hope you don't mind L and L). They turned out so awesome. And again, here is my little advertising because they are the BEST! Why?:

*It is so comfortable to take pictures with them, they are fun and have the best eyes for great pictures.

* Variety. Both of them take the pictures so you are bound to have a variety of pictures. Plus they are with you for an hour or two, which is longer than any studio I know of.

* They not only take pictures of the posing, but they also take pictures of the real life. They really try to capture the "whole story" when they take pictures, not just the cheesy smiles.

* They send you your pictures through email, and you can also send an email of the proofs to your friends and family.

* You don't have to order in bulk packages, instead you order what you want.

* Finally you can even get a CD with a few pictures to post on blogs (since we are all obsessed with the blogging world).

So my little Beckham has been holding his own bottle for over 2 months now. It is quite funny to watch though. Many times he pulls the bottle out of his mouth, screams at it because it is not in his mouth, and pops it back in. Yeah, he does this about 10 times every time he eats. Then this last week he decided it was time to roll around while he eats. Umm, sorry little guy, but it doesn't work that way. (You might think he would figure it out, but no). This is now happens about a bunch of times each time he eats. Sometimes he rolls back to his tummy the second I get him back on his back. Oh, Beckham, you silly boy!

Beckham's Newborn Pictures

Linda (my aunt) and Lindsay (my sis-in-law) started a photography business, Elle Photography. I had them come over and take Beckham's pictures when he was three weeks old. They are the best photographers! They come to you! It worked out really well because I ended up not liking the outfit I picked so I just kept changing him until there was one I liked. Plus, they got some great pictures of his room. It is so much more personable and was nice to not take my tiny baby somewhere where lots of people are. BACK TO SCHOOL

Today I started school again! This is my third year teaching first grade. It is one awesome job, but it keeps me busy! To start off a good year I got to school at 7:00 this morning, and didn't leave until almost 6:00 tonight. I think my class is going to be a good one and it was such a great day. I will say though, the best part of my day was when I got home. I came in and Beckham was laying on the couch with Russ. The second he saw me his whole face just lit up! He just grinned and giggled, smiled and laughed. That is the best feeling in the entire world.

Because of the busy few weeks I have had getting ready to teach, I have 3 more posts after this one about the last few weeks, with some super cute pictures. Enjoy!

The girls (Jenn, Shan, and I) went to visit Lyndsay in the hospital, she just had a little baby boy. Welcome to the world little Lincoln. After we decided to grab some dinner at Marie Calendars (by the way, don't recommend it). We thought it would be funny to watch Beckham eat a lemon, ya know, the whole face thing. Totally didn't happen, he loved it! I took it out of his mouth and he got mad. He ate two of them. What a silly little guy he is.

A few weeks ago we went to Cherry Hill with some friends. Sherry Sterling invited us to go with her family and we invited some of my family. It was a fun group. Wes, Shannon and Halle came with us. They are my favorite people to camp with. I know I have said this before, but Shannon and I have so much fun when we camp. We love playing games together. This trip we played Ticket to Ride Europe, we played a double game which took forever, and we tied! We couldn't believe it! The water park was fun too. I had to talk Braeden into playing on the Lazy River, then we couldn't get him out of it. Beckham was amazing, he went down a little slide, fell asleep on the Lazy River with me, and even went down a big water slide on a mat with Russ. That night we mini-golfed, and I totally kicked butt! It was a fun weekend, thanks Sterlings for inviting us!

Every year we go to Hyrum for a family reunion. It is Russ' grandma's family on his mom's side (say that 5 times). This year we went up on Saturday and played at the lake on the waver runners for a bit. Then we went up the canyon where most of the family camps. Russ, Wes, and I decided to tube down the river (blasted cold by the way). We were going down for about 15 minutes or so and Wes says "I should have brought Halle, she would have loved it." He totally jinxed us, because about 2 minutes later we hit rapids. Not little rapids, but big ones, and they went on forever. I got stuck backwards on a rock and the river was coming up over my head, we all hit our bums on lots of rocks, and we all ran into some trees (some completely covered with spider webs, YUCK!). We think we are finally in the clear and we hit another section of rapids. This time Russ ran into a tree branch hanging out in the middle of the river and totally started freaking out. Yeah, that was because there was a snake on the branch that snapped at him!! I am so glad that wasn't me! But we made it back after about an hour. We can't wait to do it again next year! Next time Shan won't be pregnant and she can join us too! The rest of the night was fun, we had great food, played BINGO, and of course played lots of card games. Shannon and I are addicted to cards and games, we are slowly dragging Kylee down with us!

So of course we had to go to the zoo this year. Jenn, Katie, Katie's sister, and I decided to head up to the zoo, Braden (Katie's little boy), and Kennedy (Katie's neice) were really the only ones who understood what was going on, but Jenn and I had fun taking pictures of Beckham and Addy! We have been boating a few times this summer. It has been tonz of fun! We went to Hyrum and Pine View with family and friends. Brody went tubing for the first time ever and he did awesome! Weston beat the crap out of him and he never fell off, totally impressed! Jenn and I tubed, too. After playing on the boat and wave runners Jenn, Shannon and I floated in the water for ever, what a great way to hang out and chit chat. What a fun time, thanks Tami and Weston!

FLASHBACK FRIDAY

This weeks flashback is going to be on SNOW COLLEGE!

Every year for about the past 8 or 9 years my dad's whole side of the family goes to Palisades. It's a little lake where you can use paddle boats and canoes, and there is also a golf coarse. To get to Palisades you have to drive through Ephraim, so I had my own little flashback week. One of the days while the boys all golfed my mom and I went for a walk around Ephraim. So weird! It is totally different now. Fat Jacks (a pizza place) is gone, there is another pizza place there now. Pepperbellies (one of our favorite places to eat, they had the best chips and salsa ever) is now gone. The dance building was torn down, the sociology building was torn down. There is a new city hall. It was just so strange to see all the changes from only 6 or 7 years ago when I was there. I walked past my old apartment. My first year we had 6 girls living in this tiny place, my second year it was just Jenn and I (actually Nicole technically lived there too, but she was never there). Here are a few quick memories I have of that fun 2 years.

* "Oh NO! They fell asleep!"

* Western Swing: Every Wednesday we went to Western Swing above Fat Jacks. We always had such a good time.

* Snow day: there was a day it snowed so much that none of us went to class. Jenn and I ordered pizza from Fat Jacks and had them deliver it to us and Fat Jacks was only a half a block away. Then a bunch of us went out exploring in the snow that was up to our knees, we had such a fun time.

* Dance and Friends: We had dance every Tuesday and Thursday, but every Thursday we went back to our place with a bunch of us to watch Friends (how funny is it that we actually had to record it with a VCR, how nice would it have been to have DVR)

* Bathrooms: My first year I swear whenever we had "girl talk" we would all end up in the bathroom to talk, most times with at least 5 of us in there. My second year Jenn and I became "true friends" because we could use the toilet at the same time (I know college life will bring out the weird in anyone)

* Slippers: I wore slippers to class like every day! Most of us would wake up, go to class in our pj's, and then shower and get ready at the end of the day. I know, we were a little mixed up. I wish I could have worn slippers at the U, but it is like a mile between every class.

* Black Ski Suit Night: Seriously one of the funniest nights ever. Jenn put on a black ski suit and a ski mask and we drove around at 2 in the morning scaring the crap out of everyone! Hilarious to hear grown boys scream like girls!

* Olympics: When the Olympics were in town the torch came through Ephraim. We all went out to watch the runner run through. It was cool to see!

* 9/11: I was working at the day care when I heard the news about the twin towers. Watching the news was crazy (Jenn and I didn't even get cable so we had to go watch it at Melissa's). We had a candle light vigil at the fountain one night. It seems like just yesterday that it happened, and really it has been a long time already, crazy.

* Friends: Just a few friends that made those an awesome 2 years: Jenn (Sandoval) Rushton, Marci (Blackett) Rasch , Lindsay (Tucker) Corbett , Marci Christensen, Halley (Bailey) Seim, Melissa (Lambert) Bennett , Missy Watkins, Brooke (Matthews) Gordon, Britni Brown, just to name a few.

It was a fun two years!

So this weeks flashback is going to be on
TEACHING!

I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I always thought it would be fun and that I would be good at it, but when it comes down to it, you just never know. I always heard these horror stories about the first year of teaching being just aweful, and I was told many times that for the first eight months I would want to quit, and by the last month I would want to teach again. Everyone was so wrong!! I absolutely LOVE teaching! (and I have to say I think I am pretty good at it - of course I am always getting better, and I still have lots to learn). My first year of teaching was one of the best years ever! My second year was a little harder (mostly cause I was pregnant), but I still loved it. I just love the children (and families) I get to meet and become friends with. I love my summer with Beckham, but I am getting excited to start a new year and meet a new classroom full of little students who love to learn! I do have to say that I am at the best school possible, and I am so lucky for the community at this school, they let me be a part of my students lives long after school is over. Here are some of my students I have played with this summer.

Tayven babysat Phoebe (the class pet turtle) for me for a few weeks after school got out so I could go to Snowbird and write my comps. This is Tayven and Beckham when I went to pick her up. I also went to lunch at the park with his family, and we are planning another lunch date coming up in the next week or so.

Later that week I met Bryson and his family to go swimming. There was a fun little group of us who all hung out at the pool to play. The cute picture of Beckham in the goggles was all thanks to Bryson! The goggles were his and it was his brilliant idea to put them on Beckham. I am looking forward to swimming again with the Zobell family!

At the end of the year I got a gift certificate to get a pedicure from Talia. I decided to call her up and invite her to go with me. This is the two of us getting all beautified! It was a lot of fun to hang out and talk with her, I hope we can do it again!

I also get to see Kelsie! She is a student from my first year teaching. I played with her and her family a lot last summer, as well as this summer. Her mom, Sherry, and I became great friends. I don't know what I would do without this awesome family! This is a picture of Kelsie and her little brother holding Beckham just after he was born. Hopefully Braeden will be in my class this next year! We are also going camping at the end of the summer together as well and I can't wait!

Stay at home moms have it the best, they get to be with their kids all the time. I guess if I have to leave my cute one home with his dad to go to work there is no other place I would rather be!

My Little Beckham!

So being a mom is absolutely wonderful! I love everything about it. I just wanted to tell you all some of the cute things Beckham does that I just can't get enough of.

1. He smiles!
He almost never stops smiling and laughing. He started smiling when he was in the NICU and hasn't stopped (and no it was not gas!) His smile also takes up his whole face. It is the biggest, wide-open smile ever. What's funny, is that sometimes when he is grumping he is still smiling. I love that all I have to do when he is crying is start smiling and talking to him and he will smile and laugh between his cries (it's hilarious).

2. He talks like crazy!
This boy almost never shuts up (and I am not complaining, it is super cute). He talks to anyone and everyone around. He even talks to his toys (so cute). Most of the time when he is mad he won't cry, he just grumpy talks to anyone who will listen.

3. He loves food!
K, so I just started feeding him rice and sweet potatoes within the last few weeks, but he started really loving it this week. For his first bite of food he makes that face, like what are you putting in my mouth. Then after about three bites he starts saying "mmmmm" for every bite. I just laugh the whole time I feed him. He doesn't stop "mmmmm"ing. It just gets louder as I put the spoon in his mouth, but he doesn't stop until his food is gone. Here is a little video of it.

We have such a fun day on the fourth! I love being with family and friends and we have a whole day worth of playing. We started off with going to the parade with Russ' family. Jenn, Addy J. and Alex came too. Then we all go to my parents for a BBQ. (How wonderful that both my families get along so well and enjoy hanging out together). We usually hit up a movie after that, this year we saw Hancock, which I thought was a great show. Then we head over to the Sandoval's and BBQ again, play croquet (Russ won this year), and watch fireworks. What a GREAT day!

So the 4th of July is also my hubby's birthday. I just wanted to take a second and let everyone know that he is a wonderful husband. I love him so much. We have lots fun together, and love to be with each other. One thing I will never forget is how wonderful he was when we had to leave Beckham in the hospital. He was by my side the entire time, making sure everything was going to be ok. He waited in the hospital waiting room in between feedings with me and he held me and loved me when I couldn't stop crying. He is a great father! He loves Beckham so much, and he is so cute with him. It is so fun to watch the two of them together! Well, I am done with the mushy stuff now, so here are some pics of him and our cute family.

BECKHAM BRODY BAYLES
I was born on February 13, 2008 @ 5:37. I weighed 7 pounds 0 ounces, and was 19 inches long. I was not easy to get here. I put mom in the hospital twice during her pregnancy and gave her some other problems on the way. Then I gave my parents the scare of their life! I had some lung problems and started to get an pneumonia. I had to stay at St. Marks NICU for nine days before my mom and dad could take me home. It was the longest 9 days of their life. But I am home now and things couldn’t be better. Here are some pictures of those scary 9 days.

In case anyone was wondering I finished my comp exam! It took me about 90+ hours to complete. With everything, including references, it came to 38 pages. I am so glad I finished and I hope it was good enough to receive my Master's Degree at the end of this semester. Now I am going to play with Beckham and enjoy my summer!

Ya, I know, I should have done this forever ago, but at least I am starting now!! Our little family is doing great. Beckham turns 4 months old tomorrow and is just the best thing that ever happened to Russ and I. He is the cutest and most amazing thing in the world! He thinks he is older than he is already and he doesn't want to miss a moment of anything going on. His smiles are just to die for! Russ is doing great, still working for UPS during the night time hours. He plays softball with friends, and of course can't get enough of XBox 360. I am just as busy as ever, but it is getting better with summer finally here!! I am still teaching first grade and love it! Teaching is the most rewarding job ever (and one of the hardest jobs you could possibly have, at least I think so). I am still working on my Masters, which I should have at the end of this summer (it's about time)!

All in all we are doing GREAT and LOVING LIFE!!

Oh, and I can't forget that Beckham's best friend arrived a few weeks ago! Addy J. Rushton was born on May 27, 2008 with no complications!! She is a tiny little thing, but all is well!
